Longde Deepening Retreat with Oliver Leick
An Exceptional Opportunity to Deepen Longde Teachings
Following the extraordinary Longde retreat led by Namkhai Yeshi in Paris in May 2025, we are happy to announce a special deepening retreat with Oliver Leick, taking place September 26–28 in Paris.
Longde teachings are among the most rare and precious treasures of the Dzogchen tradition — seldom given and deeply experiential. This retreat is a unique opportunity to stabilize, deepen, and apply what was received in May under the guidance of a long-time practitioner and student of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.
About Oliver Leick
Oliver Leick first received Longde teachings directly from Chögyal Namkhai Norbu in 1981, during Rinpoche’s very first Longde retreat in Austria — a retreat Oliver also helped organize. He continued to receive further Longde transmissions from Rinpoche in Denmark, Norway, the USA, and Merigar West throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
In addition to being present at Namkhai Yeshi’s Longde retreat in Paris (May 2025), Oliver has undertaken numerous personal Longde retreats, including a three-week retreat in Wals in 1981.
Retreat Program
During this retreat, we will:
- Watch selected video instructions from Namkhai Yeshi’s May 2025 Longde teachings (given in Paris)
- Practice together Vajrasattva with the Seven HUM and Nine OM AH HUM
- Receive explanations from Oliver Leick, based on both his own experience and the words of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu
- Explore and apply the postures of Longde practice
- Have time for silent individual practice, followed by shared reflections and Q&A
- Conclude with The Song of the Vajra and dedication of merit
⚠️ Note : While most of the retreat will be accessible via Zoom, the actual Longde posture practice will NOT be streamed. Participants (onsite or online) will be guided to enter silent practice independently during those segments.

- Friday, Sept 26: 18:30 – 20:30
- Saturday, Sept 27: 10:00 – 12:30 & 15:30 – 18:00
- Sunday, Sept 28: 10:00 – 12:30 & 15:30 – 18:00
🧘 What to Bring
- Practice stick and belt for posture
- A comfortable sitting cushion
- Please refrain from using phones during practice sessions
If you have knee or mobility issues, we’ll assist with adjustments onsite.
🔒 Participation Requirements
This retreat is exclusively open to practitioners who have received Longde transmission from either Chögyal Namkhai Norbu or Namkhai Yeshi.
