Guru Rinpoche said his mother is all of space. He doesn’t mean a particular confined space like the space within this room. He is speaking about primordial space that has no birth or death. That space has no definition or limit. Even if you could measure it, your measuring device would have to be without limit. In order to be in that space, we have to let go of positioning ourselves in any way. We cannot choose east over west, north over south, left over right, the center or the circumference.
Basically, it means we let go of the managing editor and all of his editing techniques. This letting go of position must be perfect and therefore without effort. There is no effort and therefore no bias towards one side or the other. It is a space which is equal to immediate nowness, not the result of creating or imagining something. Since it is not created, it cannot be interrupted.
We will refer to various practices to reference this explanation of Padmasambhava.
